Beautiful words Fi and I can resonate with your poem and story about Karen.

    1. Thank you Jo x. We all have stories I’m sure and they all mean a lot to us personally. Equally, it’s good that we can share and remember our respective loved ones in a communal way. It’s so important that we keep talking about those who have died, don’t you think?

This really hit home, Fi. Just been up to the Lake District for the funeral of an old college friend. She was a close friend but I lost touch after college and her death was quite a shock. Two other friends managed to find me on Facebook and I was able to meet up with one at the funeral, so I’ve resolved to see them both before too much time passes.

    1. I’m so glad that it resonated and also that you were able to pay your last respects to your old college friend. I bet it meant a lot to go to her funeral. We lose touch with friends sometimes but it doesn’t mean we don’t care; we still do. It’s sad that it takes a funeral to remind us to do the thing, rather than putting it off, but it happens. Life gets in the way. I hope you manage to meet up with reconnected friends (and that we too will meet again before the year is out!)
